Eugene Bagashov's Ultra deep biosphere.

This paper by Eugene Bagashov is so interesting that I'm giving it its own post. 

Before doing so its imperative to remind people that oil isn't really a "fossil fuel" since it is a subject that is touched on.

Back to the paper. It explores the scientifically rigorous evidence for prolific microorganism life deep beneath the earths crust and possible connections to geological, tectonic and electric systems as well as possibilities relating to hydrocarbon production and possibly carbon sequestered in soil and rock. 

It has been best broken down by this excellent YouTube channel, far more accessible for most of us :
